Aaron Judge to Start Taking BP Soon as Recovery Continues
By Jerry Trotta

Just a few days after Aaron Judge was hitting off a tee and taking dry swings for the first time since going down with an oblique strain on April 20, the superstar outfielder successfully threw to bases from right field Thursday afternoon at Yankee Stadium, before the rains came.
And according to the New York Post, Judge is ready to take the next major step in his long-awaited return, as the Yankees' right fielder will reportedly begin taking batting practice at the Stadium's indoor cages this weekend.

"I felt I haven't missed a day, it feels like April,'' Judge said after his Thursday workout. "There is no pain and no problem...The last couple of days, getting back to normal routine and getting the rhythm down again. It (batting practice) will start this weekend and continue into next week."

From the surface, it appears that if Judge looks as good taking BP as he did fielding and throwing on Thursday, and does so without suffering any setbacks, then No. 99 will be eligible to return to the club before too long (crazy, we know).
But, as we've surely learned by now, Yankees fans should hope that Aaron Boone and Co. continue to slow play his return date. After all, the Bronx Bombers have practically forgotten how to lose in the month of May. Better make sure Judge is at his best when the comeback is completed.
