Aaron Rodgers being absent from OTAs is no surprise

With teams and players getting back on the field for spring OTAs, one person in particular stole headlines by being a no-show: Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers quarterback is in the middle of his offseason drama with the team.
While it's completely unclear if he'll hit the field for Week 1 of the 2021 season, Rodgers not being there for OTAs is not a surprise at all.
Aaron Rodgers’ absence from #Packers OTAs is unsurprising — for multiple reasons. Long before the NFLPA’s move for a boycott, Rodgers argued during CBA talks last year for the elimination of all offseason activities prior to Aug. 1. Rodgers was likely not going to show up anyway. However, the fact that rumors continue to swirl that he might retire has Green Bay fans in panic mode. Only time will tell if we see Rodgers take the field this fall. It's really up in the air.
