Aaron Rodgers Could Join Elite NFL History With 2 TD Passes on Sunday
By Jerry Trotta
Stop us if you've heard this before across his breathtaking career, but Aaron Rodgers is on the verge of making NFL history as he enters Sunday's divisional clash against the Chicago Bears.
If the two-time MVP tosses two touchdown passes today, he would become the sixth signal caller in league history to log 10 or more campaigns with at least 25 touchdown passes, joining the likes of Peyton Manning (16), Tom Brady (14), Drew Brees(13), Brett Favre, and Philip Rivers (both 11).
If you've been paying attention for the last 15 years, this should merely be viewed as another day at the office for Rodgers.
Though Green Bay's offense has been touch and go for the majority of 2019, Rodgers has been nothing short of brilliant. Coming into Week 15, the seven-time Pro Bowler is completing 64.4% of his passes for 3,260 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just two interceptions.
To think those numbers are considered an "off" year for No.12 in a season where he's been asked to carry less of the burden by head coach Matt LaFleur is a perfect testament to his excellence under center.
The Bears present a touch matchup in what's supposed to be below-freezing temperatures at Lambeau Field, but we know better than to bet against the future first ballot Hall of Famer.
