Aaron Rodgers Likes Tweet Criticizing Bears
By Sean Facey
Aaron Rodgers isn't looking to make friends with his division rivals in the offseason.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback liked a tweet that took a shot at the Chicago Bears losing at Soldier Field, as the U.S. Men's National Team lost a crushing Gold Cup Final to Mexico while playing at the stadium.
It seems as though Rodgers loves to own the Bears off the field as much as he does on it. The two-time MVP is 16-5 in 21 career games against the Chicago, throwing for 45 touchdowns and 5,165 yards for an absurd 105.9 passer rating.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that it's plain true that the Bears have struggled to get the job done at Soldier Field. Just last season, they lost a brutal NFC Wild Card round matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles 16-15 after Cody Parkey's infamous missed field goal.
Their other most recent home loss in the playoffs came at the hands of none other than Rodgers himself. The Packers marched into Chicago and took the NFC Conference Championship from the Bears on their way to a Super Bowl victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2010.
History is simply on Rodgers' side here, though it doesn't hurt that he played a heavy role in writing it.
Both teams have high expectations heading into the 2019 NFL season, and outside drama like this will only add to the excitement of watching the two bitter rivals go at each other this year.
