Aaron Rodgers Likes Tweet Mocking Packers Fans After Devin Funchess Signing
By Jerry Trotta
It would appear that Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is fed up with attitude surrounding the organization's attempts to equip him with receiving depth opposite star No. 1 wideout Davante Adams. That, or comedic sketches that center on mocking the Packers' fan base is right in Rodgers' wheelhouse.
The two-time MVP was caught liking a tweet that scorned Green Bay supporters who were over-the-top furious the team signing free agent WR Devin Funchess.
For those curious, the tweet is still posting up in Rodgers' likes. The seasoned vet is refusing to succumb to the pressure to unlike it.
This certainly isn't a great optic for the Packers.
Either Rodgers is simply poking fun at how reactionary Packers Twitter is, or he's digging deeper, subliminally making it known that he isn't fond of the way the team's fans treat their GM's efforts and new additions. The 36-year-old is known to be cryptic on occasion, so we really can't rule out anything here.
Funchess is certainly a marginal addition at best, but Rodgers would prefer the team's "owners" refrain from treating his addition like the end of the world.
Whatever the case, Green Bay can't be thrilled that its superstar QB is out here liking tweets that mock both the franchise and its passionate fan base.
