Aaron Rodgers' Silence Following Packers' Jordan Love Pick is Deafening
By Scott Rogust

It appeared the Green Bay Packers implemented the strategy of intentionally angering quarterback Aaron Rodgers during this year's NFL Draft. That was evident once the team passed up on the chance to select a wide receiver to instead trade up four spots in the first round to draft Rodgers' eventual ideal replacement in Jordan Love.
It's been nearly a week since we saw the selection that shocked the world, and we still haven't heard a peep from Rodgers. That truly speaks volumes.
By starting the deepest WR draft in recent memory with a first-round QB and ending it without choosing a single receiver in 9 picks, the @Packers only discernible draft strategy appeared to be pissing off @AaronRodgers12 pic.twitter.com/lHyMP8km4t

The only thing we heard about Rodgers' position on the selection came from Love himself, who told ESPN that the veteran congratulated him on being drafted. But we've heard nothing from the man himself since his draft night appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show," where he hinted that he'd love if the team had selected a position player (preferably a receiver).
That...didn't happen. Green Bay drafted every position other than wideout, despite being one win away from Super Bowl LIV last season.
I need @AaronRodgers12 to atleast say something!?! His silence has been numbing. Geez atleast Favre let us know where he stood.

You'd think the last thing the Packers organization would want to do is poke the bear. But they did. Rodgers is never afraid to voice his displeasure on any topic. Hell, this is the same man who essentially forced the Packers to fire former head coach Mike McCarthy back in 2018 through his words and actions on the field.
If we haven't heard from Rodgers this past week, we likely won't hear from him until Packers training camp begins, whenever that is. Until then, we can only assume that Rodgers is stewing in his home, waiting for his chance to keep Love on the bench for the next four years.
