Aaron Rodgers Social Media Activity Proves He's Very Open to Clay Matthews' Packers Return
By Scott Rogust

Los Angeles was rocked after hearing the Rams released running back Todd Gurley, who was due a $10.5 million bonus by 4 p.m. ET on Thursday. However, the Rams weren't done there, as the team also cut linebacker Clay Matthews, who was just signed by them last year.
Matthews was very vocal in his displeasure of the Green Bay Packers' decision to part ways with him last offseason. However, he did tell ESPN's Rob Demovsky that he was proud to be associated with the Packers for the majority of his NFL career.
Before Clay Matthews left Green Bay in free agency last year, he told me he fully appreciated that he would always be primarily associated with the Packers. With the Rams releasing him, a return would make sense -- if he were willing to move to back... https://t.co/F5XnJEU4U1

A reunion does make sense, and one important member of the organization feels the same way.
Demovsky shared a screenshot of a Twitter notification, showing that quarterback Aaron Rodgers himself had liked his previous tweet.
Looks like his former QB surely agrees.

If anyone can convince the Packers to bring back Matthews, its Rodgers, and a reunion would make too much sense. The Packers' defense lost two linebackers in Blake Martinez and Kyler Fackrell to the New York Giants, so there's definitely a need for another depth linebacker, and Matthews fills that role.
Matthews has a supporter in Rodgers, so don't rule out a Green Bay reunion this offseason.
