The New York Jets were embarrassed on Sunday by the winless Cincinnati Bengals, and it would seem like Adam Gase's decision to skip Thanksgiving didn't exactly pay off.
Jets fans have already been begging for the head coach to be let go, but handing the Bengals their first win of the season after essentially claiming that he had worked overtime to put together Sunday's game plan might be the last straw.
Adam Gase said he didn’t have time for Thanksgiving dinner this week and came in with a game plan worse than hitting ‘ask madden’ all day

"Ask Madden" might even have some better play suggestions than Gase at this point.
Gase and the Jets appeared to be improving over the course of the last month, winning all three of their most recent games and exploding on offense. However, all of that progress might be for naught, showing the very worst of themselves against the weakest opponent in the league. And this took planning and forethought!
It’s a good thing Christopher Johnson announced he isn’t firing Adam Gase because it saves us all having to bother begging for it. This is the kind of no-show that erases all the good they’ve done this month. #Jets getting blown out by the worst team in football.

New York will not be playing in the postseason this year, so maybe a loss isn't the worst thing in the world. Improving their position in the 2020 NFL draft might as well be their priority at this point, because the season has long been over.
Perhaps another terrible showing from Gase might finally motivate the Johnsons to fire the underperforming coach? At least he's dedicated to losing, though. There's a positive.
