Adam Schefter: Antonio Brown Unlikely to Play in NFL This Year
By Michael Luciano
There is a tipping point in the NFL where you can become so toxic that a team won't even think about signing you, no matter how mediocre they are. Former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown has sailed way past that tipping point, and has made himself the most radioactive commodity in the league.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Brown, who was cut by the New England Patriots after his sexual assault allegations came to light, is unlikely to suit up for another NFL team this season. He will also meet with the league on Thursday to present his side of the story in his sexual assault case.
Considering that AB declared himself that he would never play in the league again just two days ago (he later went back on that statement), you could have seen this coming from a mile away.
According to Schefter and a source close to the case, Brown has not fully cooperated with the league, as he hasn't given over all the evidence the league needs to gain a thorough understanding of the case.
Brown's agent said he expects Brown to play again this season.
AB went from an All-Pro to three teams in one year to being so volatile the league has pushed him to the side in the span of a few months. That's some impressive self-sabotage.
