AJ Green Reportedly Expected to Miss Bengals Season Opener With Torn Ligaments in Ankle
By Mark Powell

The Bengals might want to switch practice fields.
After it was reported that AJ Green suffered a potentially severe injury at Bengals training camp--on a field players have since complained about no less--Cincy received some less-than-desirable news. Their star wideout will miss at least 6-8 weeks, and is unlikely to suit up in their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks.
An MRI revealed that Bengals’ WR A.J. Green has torn ligaments in his left ankle that is likely to sideline him six to eight weeks, source tells ESPN. Green is not expected to be ready for the regular-season opener at Seattle.

Green has an argument as one of the best receivers in the NFL. Being hidden in Cincinnati, however, isn't helping his case. The former Georgia Bulldog missed the Pro Bowl last season, as he was slowed by injury.
Given the Bengals are already expected to finish near the bottom of the AFC North, this is rough news for a team with a first-year coach in Sean McVay look-alike Zac Taylor.
The #Bengals have now lost their star receiver for the start of the season and first-round LT Jonah Williams (shoulder) for the entire season. Tough situation for a first-year coach. https://t.co/moHGQlJnkM

The Bengals are in a transition--led by veterans at the core positions but also in need of a younger upgrade, and some could argue that starts with the quarterback.
Dalton will have a tough time quieting that noise against Seattle without his top weapon.
