Game 3 of the ALCS featured a roughly 20-minute delay when home plate umpire Jeff Nelson removed himself after being drilled in the face mask on three separate occasions in the early innings.

Well, Thursday night's pivotal Game 4 might also be forced into a stoppage of play --in addition to yesterday's rainout. Houston Astros manager AJ Hinch has threatened to pull his squad off the diamond if New York Yankees fans continue to throw objects onto the field.

That's an incredibly bold statement from Hinch to suggest he'd actually remove his team from the field, but perhaps he'll back it up if Yankee fans continue their antics.

Could one say that Hinch is being a little too dramatic and over-the-top with his assertions? Absolutely. However, you can also throw some admiration his way for not tolerating his players to be disrespected in such a despicable manner.

Whatever the case, another delay is the absolute LAST thing that fans tuning into Game 4 want to witness. Heck, the even the rowdiest of Yankee fans would agree they'd like this series to continue without anymore delays.

Therefore, they should persuade their fellow fans to refrain from throwing garbage onto the field, and just avoid this issue entirely.

Keep your fingers crossed, folks.
