Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth Rock 1920s Outfits in NBC Broadcast Booth
By Scott Rogust
The 100th season of the NFL has officially begun on Thursday night, and it was only fitting that the oldest rivals faced off in the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers.
With the festivities taking place at Soldier Field in Chicago, the NBC broadcast team decided to go with a theme. Commentators Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth wore outfits straight out of the 1920's in the booth.
They even have the press fedoras. Solid.
Michaels and Collinsworth weren't the only ones rocking the "Roaring 20's" garb. Sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya joined in, wearing a conservative dress and hairbow.
NBC really went hard with this theme.
Let's be real here, no one is going to let the broadcast team's attire take away from what really matters...the football action. The Bears and Packers are looking to build upon their legacies by hoisting a Lombardi Trophy in the 100th season of the NFL.
Let's just all focus on having football broadcasted every weekend until February, not what outfits the commentators are wearing. Well, at least until Halloween.
