Alabama 2020 QB Depth Chart if Tua Tagovailoa Leaves for NFL
By Ian Anderson

It is always hard to recover from losing a generational talent at quarterback, but if anyone can do it, it would be Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Come April it looks like the Alabama Crimson Tide will be without junior quarterback Tua Tagovailoa as it is believed that he will be entering the NFL Draft.
2019 was the most disappointing season of Tua Tagovailoa’s career and all he did was break his own single-season passer rating record (pending Burrow having an obscene playoff) and throw 33 TDs to three interceptions. Absurd stuff

Since taking over for Jalen Hurts in the 2017 National Championship, Tagovailoa has taken college football by storm. But what will Alabama do without their marquee signal-caller if he does choose to enter the draft? This is what Alabama's 2020 quarterback depth chart could look like.
Alabama 2020 Quarterback Depth Chart
- Mac Jones
- Taulia Tagovailoa
- Stone Hollenbach
- Braxton Barker
- Jayden George
- * Bryce Young (top 2020 recruit, hard commit to Alabama)

Mac Jones has the third-highest odds to win the 2020 Heisman Trophy, so it is safe to say that the Crimson Tide are in safe hands.
Since replacing Tagovailoa when he got hurt, Jones has performed amicably. He is no Tua but he could definitely do a job for a loaded Crimson Tide team. Not to mention, Taulia Tagovailoa is a star in the making, taking after his brother.

Bryce Young, meanwhile, could change his conversation entirely. The 5-star dual-threat quarterback is a hard commit to Alabama. While that is subject to change, as is anything in recruiting, Young's presence on campus would make him an obvious threat to Jones and Taulia on the depth chart.
A great early view of next season is going to be when Jones and the Tide take on the Michigan Wolverines in this year's Citrus Bowl.
