Alabama Basketball Player Alex Reese Arrested for Public Intoxication

The Alabama Crimson Tide's basketball season ended on a sour note due to the cancellation of the SEC and NCAA tournament, and the offseason isn't getting off to a much better start.
Alabama junior power forward Alex Reese, who really started to come into his own as a player this season, was arrested in Tuscaloosa and charged with public intoxication.

Reese and the Tide went 16-15 this season, including an 8-10 record in SEC play. Reese started 25 games this season under former Buffalo coach Nate Oats, and he averaged 8.8 points and 4.8 rebounds per game as the team's starting power forward. His best game of the year was a 17-point effort in a win against Missouri.
Reese was released on $300 bond, but the stain of this arrest is likely to hang over his basketball career.

Reese was one of Oats' favorite players during the coach's first season in Tuscaloosa, but all of that goodwill he engendered could go right out the window thanks to his troubling off-court decisions.
