Alabama CB Nigel Knott Announces Intentions to Transfer
By Sam Dunn

Entering last season, Alabama's Nigel Knott was convinced that he wouldn't be able to continue his football career any longer. As head coach Nick Saban said in September, the cornerback would have to be disqualified due to unspecified medical issues.
Luckily, Knott's medical issues seem to have been resolved and he was later cleared to play again as of December. However, he won't be continuing his playing career in Tuscaloosa, having announced his decision to enter the transfer portal via Twitter on Monday.
I am blessed to have played football for the University of Alabama. I have decided to enter the transfer portal. #??

Knott, a former 4-star prospect and Under Armour All-American out of Madison, Mississippi, was the No. 66 ranked overall prospect in the class of 2016 according to 247Sports.

To date, he's appeared in just one college game, a 65-31 blowout win over Arkansas in October of 2018 during which he recorded one tackle.
Now that he's got a clean bill of health, expect the former 4-star DB to be a top transfer target as college football's offseason period ramps up.
