3 Teams That Need to Sign Alabama OL Matt Womack

The 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone, as has the initial flurry of undrafted free agent signings that helped allocate the best players who did not end up among the first 255 selections. One of the best players who is still not on an NFL roster is former Alabama offensive lineman and Shrine Bowl star Matt Womack, a guard/tackle who started every game during Alabama's 2017-18 season before an injury and the emergence of Jedrick Wills relegated him to backup duty.

Womack, when healthy, is a versatile lineman who would be perfect at the back end of any team's roster. These three teams need to get on the phone with his agent right now.

3. Cincinnati Bengals

Even with former Alabama star Jonah Williams coming back from an injury, Cincinnati hasn't exactly given Joe Burrow much help on their offensive line. Womack's versatility should allow him to serve as a backup to Williams at tackle, Michael Jordan at guard, and, in a pinch, Billy Price at center. The more linemen Burrow has, the better, especially if they come from blue-blood programs.

2. Los Angeles Rams

There isn't much to complain about when you look at the Rams' tackles, as Andrew Whitworth and Rob Havenstein are a more than solid duo. The interior of their offensive line, however, is a bit of a mess, as Austin Corbett and Brian Allen are the best players amongst that group, and no one with a brain will mistake them for Jackie Slater. Womack can give Sean McVay piece of mind knowing he has a backup for several different spots on the line available on the roster.

1. Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are once again remaking their offensive line, as DJ Fluker and Justin Britt have been cast away in favor of 2020 third-round pick Damien Lewis. Womack isn't going to be a guy who steps in right away and assumes a starting role, but he can help prevent the Seahawks from relying on Joey Hunt *shudder* again given how he can line up at multiple positions on the line.
