VIDEO: Alabama DB Xavier McKinney Pulls up With Possible Injury During 40-Yard Dash

Former Alabama defensive back Xavier McKinney is anticipated to be picked in the middle of the first round in April, and was hoping to improve that projection at the Combine. While attempting to run the 40-yard dash on Sunday, McKinney posted a rather slow 4.64 before pulling up with an apparent injury.

Hopefully McKinney's injury is only minor and doesn't have an impact on his draft stock, though he may want to consider holding out from the remainder of drills in order to preserve his health.
Last year with Bama, McKinney registered 59 tackles, four forced fumbles, 3.0 sacks and three interceptions.

McKinney is far from the only individual to sustain a knock during the Combine. Fellow first-round projected cornerback Jeff Okudah went down with a minor ailment while participating in DB drills and Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray also came up hobbling during the 40-yard dash, though he assured fans he was okay.
If McKinney does opt out of the remaining drills, there's still a chance he can showcase his skills during Bama's pro day, if he recovers in time.
