VIDEO: Aldon Smith's Latest Workout Footage Should Jack up Cowboys Fans
By Mark Powell

The Dallas Cowboys seemingly signed Aldon Smith out of nowhere earlier this month, as the former All-Pro defensive end had been out of football since 2015. Having taken the time to clean up his personal life, Smith is now back at work, using this extra time away from team facilities to his advantage. By the time Smith does show up in Dallas, he's going to be rearing to go, that much is certain after watching his recent workout video.
1st look at @dallascowboys DE @aldonsmith moving like THIS at 287 lbs at @unbreakable. This was January so he’s actually bigger & faster now. Proud of the work he’s put into himself.

We’ll show more training videos & hear from Aldon tonight on @fs1 on FOX FOOTBALL NOW 11 ET/8 PT pic.twitter.com/M10ulKi4S5
That was Smith at 287 pounds, which makes his movement all the more impressive, even if it's just a brief clip on a treadmill. Given his injury history and battle with addiction, seeing Smith hard at work should get Cowboys fans' hopes up, however brief.
.@AldonSmith look. This is the 'new' version #Cowboys have signed on for, as we write here: https://t.co/ablDFTxjMO https://t.co/FNmWK0RHKK

This is our first look at Smith doing anything related to football in years. He's still just 30 years of age, and if he can be anything close to the Aldon Smith of old, there's no telling how dramatic of impact he'll have on the Cowboys' defensive line.
