Alex Bregman Calls Out MLB on Twitter for Upholding Jake Marisnick's Suspension

After weeks of deliberation on Houston Astros outfielder Jake Marisnick's two-game suspension for blowing up Los Angeles Angels catcher Jonathan Lucroy, Major League Baseball has decided to uphold decision.
Marisnick will begin serving it on Tuesday against Cleveland, and will additionally have to pay a fine.
Jake Marisnick lost his appeal and his two-game suspension and fine have been upheld.

The suspension becoming the law of the land is rubbing some the wrong way-- including Marisnick's teammate, Alex Bregman. The star infielder took to Twitter to express his displeasure over the development.

Even though it was an ugly collision, it's hard to imagine that Marisnick was purposefully trying to injure Lucroy. However, he did break the collision rule and injure the veteran backstop.
It's no shock that Bregman has his teammate's back and is miffed at the MLB's decision to keep the suspension at two games. Of course, did he really think it would be totally rescinded and he wouldn't have to pay a price? In any event, he's leading with a defiant air.
