Alex Bregman's Twitter Mysteriously Returns After Being Deleted With Only One Very Strange Photo
By Jerry Trotta
The Houston Astros' shame tour was abruptly put on hold as soon as Major League Baseball decided to suspend the 2020 regular season. Though a resumption of play could be imminent, it's highly doubtful that Houston will feel the wrath of fans, who, barring a seismic turn of fortune, likely won't be permitted inside stadiums this year.
In the meantime, however, some bizarre social media activity has been transpiring surrounding the club as the Twitter accounts of Alex Bregman and Lance McCullers were randomly deleted a few days back.
Strangely enough, Bregman's profile returned on Thursday. However, his avi was still blank and there was only one photo on his feed.
That's a retweet of an Alex Cora post from 2017 -- a point in time where the recently-fired Boston Red Sox manager was serving as the Astros' bench coach and the team's sign-stealing operation was still at large.
Is Bregman the mastermind behind these antics? And if he is, why is everything on his profile deleted except this photo with Cora? Is he trolling all of us?
We have so many questions, and we can't with any confidence say that answers will be provided. Let's hope that Bregman resolves this issue, for lack of a better term, in a timely manner.
