VIDEO: Alex Morgan Training Like a Beast at 7 Months Pregnant is Incredible
By Will Coleman
What isn't USWNT co-captain Alex Morgan capable of? Sure, Morgan just captured her second consecutive World Cup and tied the single-game record with five goals in the group stage against Thailand, but all that has nothing on what she's doing now. With the 2020 Olympics looming, the 30-year-old is still managing to train seven months pregnant, with her firstborn on the way.
Even in the final weeks of her pregnancy, Morgan is willing to better herself on the pitch with training sessions. The striker's footwork is pristine as ever and she's still able to rip shots past the keeper.
Morgan is expecting a baby in April, but that's not stopping her from earning an Olympic selection. For Morgan, it would have sent the wrong message if she looked at her pregnancy as a chance to rest or take a break from soccer.
Morgan isn't on the qualifying roster and can't suit up in any of the US team's upcoming matches, but training with the team leading up to the Olympics greatly reflects her loyalty and dedication to the sport.
