After remaining stuck on 698 and 699 career goals for the longest time, Washington Capitals legend Alex Ovechkin finally slotted home that milestone goal late in his matchup against the New Jersey Devils. With this goal, Ovechkin became just the eighth player in NHL history to reach 700 goals, and he inched one goal closer to Wayne Gretzky's all-time record of 894 goals. In fact, only Gretzky himself reached 700 goals in fewer games than Ovechkin.
