Max Holloway is the consensus greatest featherweight champion of all-time. That cannot be taken away from him, unlike the belt that he no long bears. Yet, Alexander Volkanovski's game-plan to keep Holloway on his toes worked to perfection.

Volkanovski's constant leg-kicks kept Hollowoy off-guard, and despite having accomplished so much by 28 years of age, the Australian-born challenger clearly showed Holloway something he wasn't prepared for.
And yes, the leg kicks took their toll.

Holloway got creative with his combo moves in the fifth round, seemingly understanding that his status as champion was up for grabs.

However, Volkanovski held true and was extraordinarily balanced, keeping Holloway at bay and holding off one final charge.
