Dating back to their days in Philadelphia, the Golden State Warriors have one of the richest histories of an NBA franchise, as Hall of Famers and future Hall of Famers are scattered all over the Dubs' record books. These legends stood above the rest, and make up the best team in Warriors history.

All-Time Warriors Starting Five

5. C: Wilt Chamberlain

Any Sixers or Warriors All-Time Team list would be incomplete without the single most dominant player in basketball history. In six seasons with the Philadelphia and San Francisco Warriors, Chamberlain averaged 41.5 points and 25.1 rebounds per game, including his famous 50.4 points per game season in 1961-62. What more needs to be said?

4. PF: Nate Thurmond

The late great Nate Thurmond was one of the most elite rebounders in NBA history and the team's first long-term star since they made the move to the Bay Area. Thurmond averaged 17.4 points and 16.9 rebounds per game in 11 seasons as a Warrior, including two seasons of 20+ boards per game. His No. 42 hangs from the rafters and will never be worn again.

3. SF: Rick Barry

The only player ever to lead the ABA and NBA in scoring, Barry averaged 25.6 points per game in eight seasons as a Warrior, including 35.6 points per game as a 22-year-old in 1966-67. He and his famous granny-style free throw could power down low and get points while also raining jumpers from deep, making him one of the most versatile, dominant scorers in league history.

**While you could certainly make the case for Kevin Durant to be ranked above Barry, the KD's lack of longevity in a Warriors uniform lands him on the bench here.

2. SG: Chris Mullin

In a period where not much went right on the court for the Warriors, Mullin was the lone bright spot. In 13 Hall of Fame seasons as a Warrior, Mullin made five All-Star teams and four All-NBA teams, averaging 20.1 points per game overall and 25.8 over a five-year stretch in the early 90s.True Warriors fans recognize how great Mullin was.

1. PG: Steph Curry

There's no other way to describe Steph Curry other than calling him a game changer. The two-time MVP and six-time All-NBA performer is the greatest shooter in league history, and his rise both kicked the Warriors' dynasty into overdrive and started the league's obsession with the 3-pointer. A scrawny kid from Davidson became one of the most influential players ever, just like we all thought.
