According to the latest reports from both the Dominican Republic and Colombia, one of the men linked to the shooting of former Boston Red Sox superstar David Ortiz has been captured.
Alleged 44-year-old drug kingpin Cesar Emilio Peralta, also known as "El Abusador" (The Abuser), has been arrested in Colombia. Peralta has been wanted by the FBI since late 2018 due to his decade of alleged drug trafficking in Latin America.

A little over a month ago, five leaders and three major collaborators in Peralta's illegal operations were arrested, with a handful being extradited to the US.
Ortiz, who was shot in the Dominican Republic in early June, managed to escape with his life. While he needed to stay in a hospital for around a month as he recovered, he managed to make a return to Fenway Park and rejoin FOX's MLB postseason coverage just months after he was shot.
