Alshon Jeffery Reportedly Ditched Offseason Workouts After Carson Wentz Bought Him Ticket to Attend
By Chris Pyo

Alshon Jeffery's been having a dismal 2019 NFL campaign thus far, with only 34 receptions for 353 yards in nine games played. In fact, the entirety of the Philadelphia Eagles' receiving corps has not played up to its potential this season, but much of the blame can be put on Jeffery, in terms of a lack of chemistry.
Over the offseason, quarterback Carson Wentz reportedly offered to fly out the Eagles' skill position players to his home in Houston, where they worked out and bonded together. One notable player that was missing from the workout? Jeffery.
In July, Carson Wentz flew several of his teammates down to his new home in Houston, where they could get workouts in and socialize with one another.

Wentz bought Alshon Jeffery a plane ticket, but the receiver never showed, sources say.

According to an article from the Philadelphia Inquirer, Wentz purchased Jeffery a plane ticket for that same trip, but he was a complete no-show. That doesn't send the right message, especially coming from a veteran.

This past October, Jeffery was also suspected to have been the anonymous source of quotes that were immensely critical of Wentz and the Eagles offense.

In the City of Brotherly Love, it's safe to say that Jeffery's not feeling those sentiments right now. If the report turns out to be true, it'll be hard for Jeffery to justify ghosting his teammates and Wentz's kind gesture.
This unfortunately falls in line with the narrative of the team's offensive struggles this year and it won't be easy for Eagles fans to digest.
