The New Orleans Saints have a plethora of issues to address this offseason as it pertains to impending free agents. Look no further than Drew Brees' all-important deliberation on retirement, and Teddy Bridgewater likely opting for greener pastures on the open market.

While those narratives continue to sort themselves out, the organization might just be working tirelessly behind the scenes at inking dynamic tailback Alvin Kamara to an extension.

The three-time Pro Bowler dropped some telling hints during an appearance on insider Ian Rapoport's "RapSheet + Friends" podcast.

Kamara inked a four-year, $3.85 million deal with the Saints as a rookie shortly after being drafted by New Orleans in the third round (No. 67 overall) out of Tennessee back in 2017.

The 24-year-old isn't due for an extension, but he's approaching the time slot on his rookie deal that ultimately persuaded the likes of Le'Veon Bell, Melvin Gordon and Ezekiel Elliott to hold out in pursuit of an extension.

As far as Kamara's concerned, it appears as though the Saints are working fast to bypass that headache.

Truth be told, Kamara deserves everything that's coming his way. He's compiled well over 4,400 yards from scrimmage and 37 touchdowns while averaging a first-class 5.0 yards-per-carry across his first three seasons in the NFL.
