Cash.
All offseason, no one knew what the fate of Cooper would be if the Cowboys had decided to franchise tag quarterback Dak Prescott. When they officially did it on Monday and reports revealed they were still working on a long-term deal with the wide receiver, football fans everywhere shuddered as they began realizing that Cooper and Prescott would likely remain on the same team for 2020 and beyond.
Prescott and Cooper are a scary combination, as in 16 games last year, Cooper caught 79 passes for 1,189 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns. Now they'll be playing together for quite a while assuming Prescott gets his long-term deal.
Amari Cooper when he was asked last year if he could imagine playing with a 41-year-old Tom Brady: “No. I don’t want to play with Tom Brady. I want to beat Tom Brady. I want to play with Dak Prescott. And I believe that we can get the job done.”
