It is over. The reign of tyranny is finally at an end.
For the first time since the 2013-14 season, neither the New England Patriots or Alabama Crimson Tide are going to be winning a championship. This stat, while absolutely absurd, just goes to show the dominance of the two dynasties over the past decade.
This will be the first season since 2013 where neither Alabama nor the Patriots will win the championship

Saturday night, the Patriots lost to the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card round, making it the first time that New England has not advanced to the AFC Championship since 2010.
The Crimson Tides' loss of superstar quarterback Tua Tagovailoa prematurely ended their season and a loss to Auburn put the nail in the coffin. Their walloping of Michigan in the Citrus Bowl is promising, but it looks more likely than not that their dominance of the past decade will not be repeated any time soon.

Yup, 2019-20 really did signal the end of an era. With Tom Brady potentially leaving the Patriots this offseason and Alabama's slight decline, could it be a while before either side gets back to the top? That could be the case.
