Shaq's Daughter Amirah O'Neal Keeps it in the Family and Commits to LSU

Shaquille O'Neal began his legendary career as a member of the LSU Tigers program. The two-time consensus First Team All-American has his number retired by the school and a statue built in his honor.

The O'Neal family is looking to make another mark on the program now, as Shaq's son Shareef announced his intention to transfer to LSU from UCLA. Now, daughter Amirah O'Neal wants to make he own impact with the Tigers, as she announced her decision to play at LSU in an Instagram post.

One of the most difficult decisions for a person my age to make, is the jump from high school to college. Although I don’t fully know what’s ahead of me, I am ready for the challenge. I never imagined myself saying this, but I am excited to say that I have decided to commit to being a student athlete at LSU along side my brother @shareefoneal . LSU was good to Shaq, and the program is being rewarded by landing two more O'Neals to keep the legacy going. Amirah is part of the 2020 class, and her brother Shareef shared his excitement on Twitter now that the siblings are set to move from California to Baton Rouge.

At this rate, the O'Neal family could become the next basketball dynasty. Like their father before them, these two have a chance to set the world on fire with a rip-roaring run with the Bayou Bengals.
