Luck is coming off one of his more successful seasons, fresh off several injury-plagued campaigns. While it has long been discussed that Luck cannot be counted on long-term as Indy's starter, this is truly a shocking turn of events given the Colts' steadfast opinion that the Stanford product would be under center for them this season.
Instead, the Colts must move forward with Jacoby Brissett, who they acquired as an insurance plan for Luck. The former NC State QB is more than capable of leading an NFL team, but this no doubt puts a major damper on the Colts' playoff hopes, and puts their entire franchise timeline in flux.
