Andy Reid Reveals Tyreek Hill Stepped up as Leader After Patrick Mahomes Injury vs Broncos

The Chiefs were dealt a bad hand on Thursday night after star QB Patrick Mahomes went down with a knee injury. Forced to win in a tough environment without the 2018 MVP was far from a sure thing, but the moment proved not to be too big for Matt Moore.
Despite Mahomes absence, the Chiefs still possess plenty of top targets for any QB, even a veteran like Moore who hasn't started a game in years. The likes of Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Damien Williams came up big for KC, with Hill even becoming an unlikely source for leadership against Denver.

Andy Reid claimed Hill encouraged his teammates not to give up in a tough situation, going as far as to round them up on the sidelines. For a player who has gained the reputation of Hill, it's an important development for Chiefs fans moving forward, especially without the presence of their signal-caller for at least a few weeks.

Thanks in part to Hill, the Chiefs are still in prime position in the AFC West, albeit with Oakland right on their heals.
