Andy Reid's Quote the Morning After Chiefs' Super Bowl Win is Perfectly Andy Reid
By Scott Rogust
The Kansas City Chiefs are at the top of the NFL mountain after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV. But, more importantly, Andy Reid's 21-year journey is finally over, as he hoisted the Lombardi Trophy for the first time in his career.
The lovable head coach known for his calm demeanor and his food analogies had plenty of supporters on Sunday night, from fans to players alike. We didn't think it was possible, but Reid became even more likable.
When meeting with the media on Monday, Reid was asked if he spent the night with the Lombardi Trophy. The man nicknamed "Big Red" gave a golden answer.
Andy, you sly dog, you.
Reid was having the time of his life down in Miami. First, he helped coach his Chiefs from a 20-10 deficit to a 31-20 win. Minutes later, he said he'd celebrate by eating a gigantic double cheeseburger with extra cheese.
Finally, he got to spend the best night of his football career with the woman who stood by his side for nearly 40 years. It doesn't get better than that.
