Angels Sign Free Agent Right-Hander Neil Ramirez to Minor-League Deal
By Karl Rasmussen

Angels fans are still basking in the glory of having signed Anthony Rendon, but there is still work to be done on the open market.
Well, the team added another arm to its bullpen on Friday, signing veteran free agent reliever Neil Ramirez to a minor-league deal, according to Ken Rosenthal.

Ramirez has been the definition of a journeyman throughout his MLB career. Since 2014, the 30-year-old has played for a total of seven teams, having spent time with the Cubs, Brewers, Twins, Giants, Mets, Indians and Blue Jays. He elected free agency instead of an assignment to the minors in Toronto.
Across his career, Ramirez has featured in 185 games, logging a 4.46 ERA and 10.6 K/9. Perhaps if he can impress in the minor leagues for the Angels, he'll be able to earn a spot on the major league roster.
