This would be a total shame and a blow to the American League All-Star team.

Los Angeles Angels slugger Tommy La Stella was named to his first All-Star Game on Sunday, but he's now seemingly in danger of missing the Midsummer Classic.

La Stella fouled a ball off his knee and left Tuesday night's game against the Rangers being unable to put weight on the affected leg.

He was carried off the field and many relayed that the injury did not look good.

As you can see in the video, he hit the ground hard and was writhing in pain immediately after the ball hit the affected area. We see players hit foul balls off themselves all the time, but this one was tough to watch.

In his first full season as a starter, La Stella owns a .304 batting average and .856 OPS in 77 games. That comes with 49 runs scored, 16 home runs and 44 RBI. The AL could now be missing him and Hunter Pence for the big game.
