By Nick Porr

It's now May, and the MLB season is still on hiatus with no return date set. Baseball fans are running out of things to do, and many have now taken to the video game "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" for some form of sports entertainment.
Yup, it's cool and all, but it's further proof we need baseball back ASPA.

The Nintendo Switch game allows players to build their own custom towns in its whimsical world, and some baseball fans have been using the free-building features in the game to create fields where virtual townsfolk could play nine innings without fear of the coronavirus pandemic.

Some fans have even taken to trying to recreate their favorite team's stadiums. One player made a miniature re-creation of Fenway Park, probably because he/she is experience Boston Red Sox withdrawal. It may be missing the Green Monster, but it's the closest thing we have got for the time being.
I'm done (for the most part) with my baseball park project! My mini Fenway!

One of the most impressive creations shared to Twitter so far is this Toronto Blue Jays fan's re-creation of the Rogers Centre infield.

We're sure these gamers are having a fun time, but most baseball fans don't live in an alternate reality and build their own worlds. Many want the real one back.
