Anonymous Eagles Player Revealed Criticisms of Carson Wentz and Offense to ESPN's Josina Anderson
By Karl Rasmussen
After the Los Angeles Rams managed to trade for Jalen Ramsey, many Eagles fans felt as if the team should've done more in order to acquire the All-Pro defensive back. Per ESPN's Josina Anderson, that sentiment resonated with an anonymous member of the Eagles as well.
And it seems that the anonymous player isn't only critical of the front office, but also of quarterback Carson Wentz.
The player suggested that the Eagles needed to simplify their offense, and that Wentz should be willing to throw more checkdown passes, rather than constantly air it out in the passing game.
It's certainly not a good sign that players are apparently less than content with the play of Wentz, and hopefully a win against the Cowboys in Week 7 will be enough to quell any concerns over the offense. The Eagles sit at 3-3 but a win over the Cowboys would put them atop the NFC East standings.
It's also worth noting that Wentz has been without one of his key weapons in DeSean Jackson for most of the season, and other impact players such as Alshon Jeffery have dealt with injuries.
On the season, Wentz has completed 61.2% of his passes for 1,458 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. And that's with the offense not rolling at the moment. Once Doug Pederson gets everything under control, this anonymous player will be much happier.
