Another Yankees Minor Leaguer Tested Positive for Coronavirus
By Jerry Trotta

Last week, the New York Yankees became the first team in baseball to have a player -- a minor leaguer whom the club didn't identify -- test positive for coronavirus, which was recently declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.
The Yankees were subsequently ordered to self-quarantine, Steinbrenner Field was cleaned and shut down, and players were tested.
Well, the results are back and they confirm, according to MLB insider Jon Heyman, that another Yankees minor leaguer tested positive for COVID-19. The team is following the direction of the department of health and players will continue to be tested while remaining quarantined.

You can expect New York to take a similar approach to that of last week's unexpected news and keep the player anonymous until more information is gathered.
This news is truly disturbing as it confirms just how contagious coronavirus is, and we cannot stress enough the importance of self-distancing.
The New York Yankees have informed their minor league players that another minor leaguer in the organization has tested positive for coronavirus, sources familiar with the message distributed to players tell ESPN.

We'll provide updates on this development as they are made available. In the meantime, Yankees minor leaguers will continue to be limited to the comfort of their hotel rooms until they are granted permission to leave.
