VIDEO: Anthony Rendon Slams 3-Run Shot for First Spring Training Home Run With Angels
By Michael Luciano
With one titanic blast at Spring Training, former Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon officially became a Los Angeles Angel. In Sunday's game against the White Sox, Rendon unloaded on a meatball from Chicago starter Ross Detwiler, giving him his first home run in a Halos uniform and granting LA an early 3-0 lead.
Rendon is scheduled to make $215 million over seven years, so he needs to come out of the gate hitting like someone earning top dollar. So far, so good for the former Nationals World Series champ.
