Anthony Rendon Says 'Hollywood Lifestyle' Swayed Him Away From Dodgers
By Sean Facey

Superstar third baseman Anthony Rendon turned some heads when he decided to sign with the Los Angeles Angels rather than their cross-town rivals in the Dodgers. After all, the latter is in a far better position to take him to the postseason than the former.
But Rendon had more than winning and money on his mind when he made his decision.
"We heard about how the organization is, the Hollywood lifestyle," Rendon said. "It didn’t seem like it would be a fit for me and my family."
New #Angels 3B Anthony Rendon on #Dodgers: “It’s not that we didn’t want to play for them, they’re a great organization that’s built to win. But what we heard about how the organization is, the Hollywood lifestyle, it didn’t seem like it would be a fit for me and my family.”

So for all of the Dodgers fans wondering what their team possibly could have to sway him, the short answer is nothing. He simply preferred the pace of life the Angels had to offer.
And it's hard to blame him for that. He stuck to his guns and made the decision that he thought was best for both him and his family.

Now he has the opportunity to play under one of the game's best managers in Joe Maddon and alongside the game's best player in Mike Trout.
