Antonio Brown Apologizes to Ben Roethlisberger in Latest Bizarre Instagram
By Michael Luciano
Just one offseason ago, Antonio Brown was among the best wide receivers in the league, if not the absolute best. Just a year later, he's found himself out of the NFL and in court due to his irrational and impulsive behavior.
Brown has spent the last few days trying to mend fences with the people that he distanced himself from, with Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger part of the list.
Via an Instagram post, Brown claimed that he "never realized how good he had it" with Big Ben as his quarterback and that he "appreciates" him.
Brown previously claimed a frosty relationship with Roethlisberger was a major reason he left Pittsburgh. With the two powering the offense, the team made the playoffs regularly, and Brown himself led the league in catches twice, receiving yards twice and touchdowns once.
With Big Ben under center and Mike Tomlin as his coach, Brown really was in a perfect situation in Pittsburgh, and the fact he realized that shows that he at least has some self-awareness about what he's done over the last year.
We've seen Brown try to apologize before, only to uncork another unhinged rant hours later.
If we're taking him at his word and we are to assume he is genuinely remorseful of how he behaved, this could be a step in the right direction as he looks to get back into the NFL.
