Lawyer Representing Antonio Brown Releases Statement Denying New 'Sports Illustrated' Accusations
By Parker White
New England Patriots receiver Antonio Brown has not been accused of sexual assault by just one woman. On Monday, Robert Klemko of Sports Illustrated reported on another incident alleged to have taken place between AB and an artist who was hired to paint a mural in his mansion.
Predictably, Brown's lawyer has come out and denied that this ever happened.
The SI report paints an ugly picture of Brown, and with what's gone on over the last couple months in his life, it doesn't comes as a deep surprise, sadly.
On top of the initial rape accusation included in Britney Taylor's civil lawsuit and this second account of sexual misconduct, Brown has been accused of numerous acts of refusal to pay wages to former assistants and part-time employees, many of which are included in Klemko's story. Brown has been engaged in multiple instances of unethical behavior; it's not like he's being accused by a single anonymous source here.
There's a pattern, and increasing numbers of concerned parties are sounding the alarm.
It doesn't appear that the Patriots are going to punish him based on accusations that haven't been met with any publicized criminal inquiry. He played on Sunday despite the first round of alarm bells, after all. It looks like this ongoing saga is going to take a long time to be sorted through, however. Don't be shocked if more troubling accusations emerge.
