We Regret to Inform You That Antonio Brown Has Released a New Song Called 'Man on a Mission'
By Jackson Thompson
Antonio Brown isn't letting his ongoing legal issues drag down his music career. On Monday, the free agent wide receiver released his newest single, "Man on a Mission," just three days after turning himself in on warrants for battery, burglarly, and criminal mischief.
Because of course he did.
Brown began this foray into rap music after his NFL career took an indefinite pause following his release from the New England Patriots in September after playing one single game. He released his first single, "Whole Lotta Money," on Jan. 4, to almost universally poor reception among hip hop heads and football fans alike.
Brown has made headlines for all the wrong reasons for well over a year now. A falling-out with his former Pittsburgh Steelers in 2018 avalanched into releases from two other NFL teams before September was even over. Then came two sexual assault allegations, Instagram Live videos chronicling multiple confrontation with police, and what could potentially become a criminal trial for battery.
Brown even had a chance to revitalize his career this season with a tryout with the New Orleans Saints. However, he ultimately claimed that the whole thing was a publicity stunt after no deal materialized.
Unfortunately, missing out on the back half of the Saints' 2019 season left Brown with ample time to focus on his music career. Wake us when it's over.
