Antonio Brown Responds to Ben Roethlisberger's Apology With Critical Tweet
By Zack Jiang
Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown has been one of the deadliest offensive duos in the league for the past few years. Their partnership came to an end this offseason after Brown requested a trade and was sent to the Raiders. While the end of their run was not too surprising, the drama that followed was.
Brown burned all bridges on his way out and criticized his former teammates. With a new season coming up, Roethlisberger decided to address the drama in an interview with KDKA TV sports director Bob Pompeani, which will be airing on Monday night.
Big Ben was apologetic to Brown in a snippet of his interview. He felt bad for the harsh comments he made previously and admitted he was wrong. It appears that Brown got word of this quickly and gave a response that wasn't very warm...or spelled correctly for that matter.
I think the phrase AB was looking for was "two-faced."
Spelling error aside, Brown continues to be immature about the situation. Roethlisberger is genuinely trying to make amends and move on. He apologized for his comments on Brown in Week 12 against the Broncos last year and wishes he could take back his actions.
Yet Brown continues to use social media to vent his emotions and to keep stirring up drama.
Brown's feuds with several former teammates is just exhausting at this point. Most have stepped away from the situation and taken responsibility for their actions. Hopefully Brown will finally follow his own social media rule with the drama subsiding and a new season to prepare for.
