Antonio Brown Reveals Patriots Spelled His Name Wrong on ID Badge and He's Giving it Away
By Chris Russo
Though Antonio Brown was at the center of controversy late this summer, he actually has a pretty funny story about one of his former employers.
Before they released Brown in September, the New England Patriots misspelled his name on his first ID, and he is now giving it away to a "lucky" fan.
A lot of people would probably think "Antonio Brown" would be one of the easier names to spell, particularly when one considers the list of unusual names in the NFL. Yet, it turns out "Antoino" may have played wide receiver for the Patriots for that one beautiful game in Miami, the single easiest place to win in the NFL these days.
The funny thing about this is that Brown decided to show this now. He could've shown it when the Patriots released him over a month ago, or even when they printed the badge, presumably right after he signed.
Ultimately, after everything that happened with Brown, from the helmet controversy to "I'm free" and all the legal troubles, it's just nice something more lighthearted has now emerged from his camp.
