Antonio Brown's Latest Instagram Activity Shows Days With Raiders Could Be Numbered
By Sean Facey
The Antonio Brown experiment out in Oakland has hit a number of roadblocks, ranging from frostbitten feet to distaste over helmets. News has been trickling out over the past week that Brown and the Raiders' front office have been at odds. Turns out, things boiled over late this week, and got so bad that Brown and general manager Mike Mayock reportedly got into an extremely heated exchange.
The diva wide receiver has done everything but play football for Oakland. And now, based on his recent Instagram activity, his time with the team could be coming to a swift end.
He unfollowed Raiders quarterback Derek Carr on the app, which isn't exactly a good way to foster a healthy working relationship. Why, though, AB? Derek wasn't even involved here!
No matter; he got the whole Raiders organization shortly thereafter. What a shock!
Then again, it's not entirely surprising, considering just how much things have spiraled out of control.
In terms of money, the Raiders actually hold virtually all of the leverage. After all of the controversy surrounding Brown in the preseason, the Raiders could end up voiding his contract without paying him $29 million of what he's guaranteed.
The fact that Brown's status with the team has come to such a state is absurd, but not out of character. His poor conduct is what drove the Steelers to ship him out in the first place. The Raiders tried to deal with it and couldn't, and now it seems like both them and Brown have had enough of each other.
But what did Derek Carr ever do to you?
