Antonio Brown's Latest Tweets Suggest He Made a Complete 180 and Wants to Make NFL Comeback
By Jerry Trotta
Stop us if you've heard this before in recent months, but free agent wideout Antonio Brown has contradicted himself.
Just a few days after the embattled superstar unleashed a tirade against the NFL on Twitter, in which he vowed that he would never play in the National Football League again, Brown endured a change of heart in a string of tweets on Thursday.
Yeah, no kidding you're the best wide receiver in the league. That's why we're all dumbfounded you seem(ed) so willing to piss all of that all-time great talent away.
That arrogance continued when he audaciously claimed that the NFL needs him and his captivating skills.
We'll agree to disagree on that one, AB. Our guess is that the league, despite its many flaws, is doing just FINE in the ratings department.
Last but certainly not least, Mr. Big Chest opted to flex at the possibility of playing for four teams -- the Steelers, Raiders, Patriots, and potentially another -- within a calendar year.
Being employed by four organizations is nothing to brag about, Brown. In fact, it perfectly summarizes everything you've done wrong in the last 12 months in that no team can, despite your Hall of Fame potential, withstand your headaches.
Nobody actually expected the seven-time Pro Bowler to permanently cut ties with the NFL, but whether another franchise will take a chance on him remains to be seen.
We'll know more once his sexual assault and rape allegations are sorted out. Until at least his next Twitter explosion, however, Brown appears willing to give the NFL another shot.
