Antonio Brown Says He'll Follow Tom Brady Wherever He Goes Next Season in Latest Instagram Post
By Scott Rogust
Embattled wide receiver Antonio Brown was practically quiet this past week after turning himself into police on battery and burglary charges. But now that his house arrest is over, Brown is back on social media anew.
On Wednesday, Brown posted a photo of himself and quarterback Tom Brady, claiming that he'll join him in the 2020 season no matter which team the Patriots star is suiting up for.
It must be said, of course, that Brown's infamously hot-and-cold relationship with the NFL puts his football future in doubt. Let's see how long until he can go before he bashes the league, complains of being allegedly blackballed, and swears never to play... only to change his mind all over again.. We'll set the over/under at two days.
After orchestrating an exit from the Oakland Raiders, Brown was signed by the New England Patriots at the start of the 2019 regular season. His stint in New England lasted one game, as he was released when new sexual assault allegations were leveled against him in a civil lawsuit.
As for Brady, the longtime Patriot will enter free agency this offseason with no guarantee that he'll be back in New England.
With that in mind, AB is channeling the Gin Blossoms: "Anywhere you go, I'll follow you down."
This plan is easier said than done for Brown. No matter where Brady goes, it would merely be a matter of if that team wants to deal with the inevitable AB headache. That alone could rule out any reunion with Brady in 2020.
To make this wish come true, Brown must get his life in order first. That's the main priority -- and a tall order at that.
