Antonio Brown to Reportedly See Foot Specialist as Training Camp Absence Continues
By Michael Luciano
We're a few days into Oakland Raiders training camp, and the biggest pieces of news surrounding prized offseason acquisition Antonio Brown have been his hot air balloon entrance and a nagging foot injury.
The seven-time Pro Bowler has yet to suit up in the silver and black since camp started due to a nagging foot injury. According to the latest report, Brown will be headed to see a foot specialist in order to get a better understanding of what's keeping him out.
Not only is Brown a wide receiver, but he's in his 30's and his game is predicated around quick cuts and speed. If there's one injury you don't want if you're AB, it's a serious foot problem.
Head coach Jon Gruden is getting a little bit antsy over Brown's injury and absence at practice, and declared that he would "like to get the party started" and start implementing Brown in his offense.
Gruden and GM Mike Mayock will likely get the axe if the Brown trade turns into a nightmare like last year in Pittsburgh was. Safe to say this is not the start anyone hoped for or envisioned, but it's hardly the fault of either party.
