Antonio Brown's Latest Tweet Fuels Chatter About Saints Potentially Signing Him
By Michael Luciano
Antonio Brown's NFL career appeared to be all but over after his increasingly destructive behavior got himself kicked off of three teams in one calendar year, but the New Orleans Saints might just get him back into the fold.
Brown worked out for the Saints after not even being touched since the New England Patriots cut ties with him after before Week 3, and the Saints were reportedly blown away by the workout. Brown certainly likes the idea of linking up with Drew Brees, as evidenced by his latest tweet.
Brown, who famously got himself traded out of Pittsburgh and then released in Oakland and New England thanks to either his bombastic confrontations with management and a pending sexual assault investigation, could be paired with Michael Thomas in the playoffs, assuming Roger Goodell doesn't put him on the exempt list.
But it seems Brown could already be sealing his own fate.
Even as the Saints expressly requested Brown eschew bringing a camera crew to the workout, he went ahead and did just that.
No one can question Brown's ability to change the game when he's at his best. What people CAN question is his ability to follow basic instructions, control his temper and emotions, and behave in a way that isn't universally condemned as despicable.
However, the Saints might be willing to put up with the AB clown show if it means they get a better chance at a ring.
